INDIAN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY TIMELINE

An exclusive Indian wedding photography timeline from "MGR Wedding Hub" has been painstakingly created to capture the spirit of your special day. We start with colorful pre-wedding rituals and document every minute detail and feeling that builds to the big celebration. Our team skillfully maneuvers through customs on the big day, capturing enduring moments of happiness, love, and cultural diversity. Our photography timeline makes sure that no special moment is missed, from the vibrant Mehendi and Sangeet ceremonies to the seriousness of the wedding vows and the joy of the reception. 5:00 am – Bridal Party Makeup and Hair Starts (2-3 Hours)

When it comes to allocating time on the wedding day, makeup and hair are typically the most overlooked aspects. Depending on the style, it could take anywhere from 1.5 to 4 hours to complete. As a result, you need to ensure that you are giving yourself enough time after your appointment with the hair and makeup artist. At this point, photographers and videographers typically capture pictures of the room's details. They should therefore be booked to arrive when the event is almost finished.

7:00 am – Professional Photographers Arrive, Click Detailed Photos (45 minutes approx)

7:45 am – In Depth Hair & Makeup

7:45 am – Preparation Portraits -30 minutes approx.

During this moment, the photographer will take pictures of the bride and groom getting ready for the big day, as well as candid shots of the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Now is also a good time to exchange gifts.

8:45 am – Photographs of Leaving the Room for the First Look

8:50 am – First look of the Couple which covers photography and videography | around 30 Minutes

The photographer usually tries to capture this special moment of your first look so that you can remember it forever. Following the first look photo and video shoot, you are welcome to attend the daytime photo session where the wedding portraits will be taken by the photographer. Since a lot of the portraits will be taken during this session, it is imperative that you allow plenty of time.There will also be video throughout the entire process.

9:20 am – Epic Bridal Party Images | around 50 Minutes

The bridesmaids and groomsmen find the time allotted to be helpful. Bridal parties should be allowed enough time for the scheduled photo shoot. This is because it would require more time to round up individuals. See the Wedding Photography Timeline for suggestions on how to measure the same. In addition to taking pictures of you and your bridesmaids, the photographer would also take pictures of the groom and his groomsmen, pictures of you and your bridesmaids, pictures of the entire party in one group, and individual pictures with each groomsman.

9:30 am – Setting up of the Ceremony Site

9:40 am – Ceremony Detail Photography (around 30 Minutes)

The second photographer would take pictures of the ceremony's location and details after the setup of the ceremony and during the bridal party photos. Here are some inspiring stills from a South Asian wedding mandapa.

10:10 am – The Bride hides away for the Baraat

10:15 am – The procession of the Baraat

The groom mounts the horse to lead the procession. The bridegroom's side of the family dances as they head to the ceremony's main location. It usually takes thirty minutes or so. Check out and enjoy some of our best grand parades of the Baraat.

10:45 am – The Arrival of the Baraat at the Entrance of the Ceremony

10:45 am – Milni Ceremony (around 20 Minutes)

At the Milni ceremony, the groom welcomes the bride's family after the Baraat arrives at the wedding location. The groom is expected to take off his shoes before going to the main Mandap. As the unusual Joota Chupai Ceremony begins, the bride's family takes the groom's shoes and hides them; he must purchase them back.

11:10 am – Walking of the Groom into the Mandap

11:20 am – Entrance of the Bride

For the wedding ceremony, the bride arrives. Either the maternal uncle or the bridesmaids lead her to the Mandap. This is referred to as Kanya Aagaman in tradition, which means "the bride's arrival."

11:30 am – The Wedding Ceremony Commences (around 1 Hour)

According to Indian customs, the wedding ceremony consists of a number of distinct customs and rituals. Here are a few of them:

1:00 pm – Wedding Lunch ( around 1 Hour)

12:50 pm – Get together or Family Formals (around 45 Minutes )

Guests at the wedding have lunch. Now is the best time to take formal family photos of the whole family, including the extended family. It is strongly advised that you give a family member access to the list of different family group and individual photos. We strongly advise prioritizing elderly individuals, grandparents, and those in need of help.

1:30 pm – Photography Session of the Couple (around 45 Minutes)

The couple's photo session offers the photographer yet another fantastic chance to get some additional shots of the married couple.

2:15 pm – Downtime for the Bride & Groom

2:45 pm – Hair Re-Do / Makeup Touch-Up for the Reception (around 1 Hour and 15 Minutes)

The team in charge of photography and videography will document the specifics and the shots taken in advance of the outfit changes for the reception. As a result, having all the information in one location is essential.

4:00 pm – Getting Ready for Reception (around 15 Minutes)

4:15 pm – Wedding Family Portraits (around 45 Minutes)

Another chance to take pictures of the family members dressed in their formal attire for the grand reception is provided by the event. It's important to allow enough time to get all the pictures you want.

5:00 pm – Cocktail & Guest Detailing Photographs (around 45 Minutes)

5:00 pm – Couple Session Photography for the Reception (around 1 Hour)

Here, we attempt to capture some unique images during the dusk or night. These are the iconic shots that MGR Wedding hub offers. Make sure you give yourself enough time. Before the guests arrive, we recommend taking pictures of the bride and groom alone in the wedding reception hall. We want to get some epic shots, and then you can come to the cocktail hour.

5:45 pm – Reception Details Photography (around 45 Minutes)

6:45 pm – Reception Doors Open

7:00 pm – Reception Grand Entrance

7:00 – 9:30 pm Programming, Performances, Dinner, Speeches

The reception is now reserved for any kind of programming you may have in mind. A typical Indian wedding usually features multiple dancing performances by professionals, performers, and family members. Family speeches and formal occasions like the maid of honor and best man are ideal during this time. This is the moment when we record the first dance, another significant event of the evening.

9:30 pm – Opening of the Dance floor for the Guests

10:00 pm – Sneaking Away Photography Session (around 20 Minutes)

It functions as the final couple's photo session. We arrange the scene and slink you away for a brief portrait. We try to get pictures of the last few moments of the wedding day because it is already pitch black. Finding places with intriguing lighting and landscapes is wonderful. Light is superbly reflected by features like cityscapes, mirrored rooms, water features, and fountains.

10:30 pm – Cake Cutting Ceremony

Our objective is to take pictures of the couple cutting their wedding cake and enjoying it.

10:45 pm – Continued Dancing
